New Venture
Recognising that there
are many people out there who can do there own work but only need enough
materials for one or two chairs; a new venture is to supply small
quantities of cane etc for DIY. Larger quantities are also available.
Small packs, two of which are needed to complete a chair with up
to 100 perimeter holes. Usually 2 different sizes are used. Thinner for
the horizontals and verticals and thicker for the diagonals.
The weight of the packs vary according to the thickness of the cane.
Price £7.50/pack (2 are needed)
Sizes available:
1.7mm (No. 1)
2.1mm (No. 2) 2.5mm (No.
3)
2.9mm (No.4) 2.9mm
(No. 5)
3.5mm (No. 6) Beading Cane and larger width
lapping cane
In-between (Continental sizes 1.6mm, 1.8mm etc are available by special request).
Everything else that is needed to complete
your seat is available to order. I even have a selection of
bedroom chairs 'ripe for restoration'.
We stock plastic 'cane' both for traditional caning and loom cane. This
is remarkably like the real thing and is ideal for canoe seats and
radiator covers.
